How to Claim Rewards from Smart Pools

It is very common for AMMs, chains, and protocols to offer incentives for market making. Generally these incentives are given out via staking or a system like Angle Merkl. To participate there are a few extra steps.

Staking​

You can find staking opportunities on the staking page. This will also show past campaigns where you might have deposits in. If you have been market making in a Smart Pool that has staking rewards, you will see a modal to stake on the vault page, or this can be done on the main staking page as well.

On the main staking page you will see all campaigns listed, all actions can be done on this page:

  • Staking LP Tokens
  • Unstaking LP Tokens
  • Claiming Rewards
  • Find links to the smart pool

The rewards you recieve are based on a few factors:

  • Amount staked vs total staked
  • Reward token emission
  • Amount of time LP tokens are staked

Make sure you follow Steer on Twitter and other socials to find opportunities quickly, the earlier you start participating the better initial rewards you will recieve!

After a staking campaign is finished, your LP tokens will need to be unstaked if you want to exit a vault.

Merkl (Stakeless Rewards)​

Merkl is a product where user actions like depositing in Smart Pools or market making in liquidity pools can be incentivized. When a user does an action that is incentivized by a campaign, Merkl will track the events and reward the user over time.

Tracking Rewards​

You can find all of Merkl's active campaigns on their site. You can view the user dashboard to see which campaigns you have begun earning rewards for, as well as other user info.

On the Steer site, you can view the approximate reward APR as well as total token claimable by the pool. This will appear on the right hand side of the page, just below deposit.

All calculations and distributions are managed by the Angle team, and campaign parameters are set by the campaign creator.
